Ustadh Abu Aliyah (Jawziyyah Institute)*

Date: Tuesday 20th April 2010
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Venue: Idea Store Canary Wharf, Churchill Place,
Canary Wharf, London E14 5RB

This short intensive course will cover the basics of
building spirituality.  For many Muslims, Islamic rituals too
often become hollow and dry their joy and spirituality being lost.

'Inner Dimensions of Islamic Worship' is based on extracts from Al-
Ghazali's "Ihya Ulum Ad-Din",Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah's Madaarij Saalikeen
and many others, where some of Islam's greatest scholars helps to
provide a much needed remedy to this problem. The course will explain
the deeper spiritual meanings behind the fundamental rites of Islam
and discuss what the inner state of the Muslim should be when s/he
fulfils these Islamic duties. The soundness of the spiritual state is
essential to the fulfilment of one's inner quality and reaping the rich
harvests of spiritual, moral and social upliftment that must be their
reward.

Various texts presented in this course will be of immense help to the
countless young Muslims of our times who are rapidly growing
in their commitment to Islam and ever trying to bring their lives
under the sovereignty of Allah - a task which is impossible unless
one can develop the immense inner resources which Islamic worship offers.

sciences for the last 25 years under a number of
scholars. He has a Masters in Islamic Studies from the
